I, _________________________________________, hereby request that the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors raise the real estate tax rate by _________ cents.
I believe that this additional investment (tax increase) is necessary for the retention of necessary Albemarle County government services and/or maintenance of the general quality of life in Albemarle County.
I certify that I am a property owner in Albemarle County and thus directly will pay increased taxes if the rate is raised as requested.
In the event that Albemarle County does not raise the tax rate to the level I have proposed, I pledge:
- To calculate my tax bill, for every Albemarle County parcel in which I have a financial interest, based on the total rate (current rate of 74.2 cents plus proposed increase), and
- To voluntarily pay real estate taxes, for every Albemarle County parcel in which I have a financial interest, based on the total rate (current rate of 74.2 cents plus proposed increase).
